    Non-Surgical Nose Filler

Liquid rhinoplasty using HA filler to refine the nasal profile without surgery.

    The short answer

Non-surgical rhinoplasty uses hyaluronic acid filler to smooth a dorsal hump, lift a drooping tip, or straighten an asymmetric profile. At Plump it is $850 per syringe ($750 for members), takes about 20 minutes, and lasts 12-18 months. It refines the nose's line — it cannot make a nose smaller.

    About Non-Surgical Nose Filler

Non-surgical rhinoplasty uses small amounts of hyaluronic acid filler to refine the shape of the nose — most commonly to smooth a dorsal bump, straighten the profile, or lift a drooping tip. It can't make a nose smaller, but it can dramatically improve proportion and profile balance.

This is a high-skill treatment. Nose anatomy has named blood vessels in close proximity, and complications from poorly placed filler are serious. At Plump we limit non-surgical rhinoplasty to our most experienced injectors and decline treatment if we don't think you're a good candidate. We use small amounts of firm filler like Voluma placed in precise locations.

Results are immediate and typically last 12–18 months. For patients who want a permanent change or a smaller nose, surgical rhinoplasty is the right path — we'll tell you if that's the case.

    In depth

What it can and cannot change

Filler adds volume. That is the only thing it does. So a non-surgical rhinoplasty works by strategically adding to create the illusion of a straighter, more balanced profile — placing product above and below a dorsal hump so light travels in an unbroken line, or supporting the tip so it sits higher.

It can smooth a dorsal hump in profile, lift a tip that drops when you smile, straighten a deviation as it reads from the front, improve the columella and the nasolabial angle, and correct minor irregularities left by prior surgery.

It cannot reduce the size of your nose, narrow a wide bridge or wide nostrils, or fix a breathing problem. If anything, it adds a small amount of volume. Anyone who tells you filler will make your nose smaller is either misinformed or selling. Patients whose goal is reduction need a surgeon.

Why injector selection matters more here than anywhere else

The nose is the highest-risk area on the face for filler. The dorsal and lateral nasal arteries sit in a compact, variable region with limited collateral circulation, and they connect to the ophthalmic artery. Product introduced into or compressing one of those vessels can cause skin necrosis or, rarely, vision loss.

This risk is managed, not eliminated, by technique: staying midline in the deep supraperiosteal plane where the vessels are not, aspirating before injecting, using low volumes under low pressure, using a cannula where appropriate, and moving slowly. It also requires an injector who recognizes early ischemia and has hyaluronidase immediately at hand to reverse it.

Practical implication: this is not the treatment to book on price or convenience. Ask specifically how many nose treatments the injector performs, what plane they work in, and whether hyaluronidase is on site. Any competent provider will answer all three without hesitation.

    The appointment and recovery

Treatment takes roughly 20 minutes after topical numbing. You will see the change in the mirror immediately, which makes this one of the most striking treatments to receive.

Swelling is modest compared with lips and generally settles within a few days. Bruising is possible, particularly near the radix. Avoid glasses resting on the bridge and sleeping face-down for the first week so the product is not displaced while it settles.

Nose filler generally lasts 12-18 months — longer than lips, because the area barely moves. Some patients find subsequent treatments last longer still.

    Cost and the surgical comparison

At Plump a liquid nose job is $850 per syringe, $750 for members. Most patients need one syringe and frequently do not use all of it; the nose takes small volumes.

Against surgical rhinoplasty, the honest trade is this: filler is a fraction of the cost, requires no general anaesthetic and no meaningful downtime, is reversible with hyaluronidase, and shows the result instantly — but it is temporary, it adds rather than removes, and it can make a future surgical rhinoplasty modestly more complex because of scar tissue.

For someone weighing surgery, a filler treatment can be a useful, reversible preview of a straighter profile before committing to something permanent.

    Who should not have it

We decline patients seeking size reduction, anyone with an active skin infection or inflammatory condition over the nose, and patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Prior surgical rhinoplasty is not an automatic exclusion, but it changes the vascular anatomy and scar planes and warrants a longer, more careful consultation. Tell us about every previous procedure on your nose, including the ones you did not like.

What it costs in New York, and what the price should include

Non-surgical rhinoplasty in Manhattan is commonly quoted between $900 and $1,500 per syringe. Ours is $850, $750 for members, and most patients do not use a full syringe — the nose takes remarkably small volumes and restraint is the entire point.

The price should include an in-person assessment of your profile in animation, not just a straight-on photo, and it should include the follow-up. It should also come from a practice that stocks hyaluronidase on site. In this area that is not a nice-to-have; it is the reason a vascular event becomes a bad afternoon rather than a permanent injury.

    Good for

    • Adults wanting to smooth a dorsal bump or straighten the profile
    • Patients seeking a lifted or refined nasal tip
    • Anyone wanting a reversible, non-surgical option
    • People with a small asymmetry they want to correct

    Not ideal if

    • Patients wanting a smaller or structurally different nose (surgical rhinoplasty)
    • Anyone with prior surgical rhinoplasty — discuss carefully at consultation
    • Pregnant or breastfeeding patients
    • Active skin infection on the nose

    Questions about non-surgical nose filler

Liquid rhinoplasty in Manhattan typically runs $900–$1,500 per syringe. At Plump it is $850 per syringe, $750 for members, and most patients need only one — the nose takes very small volumes and we rarely use a whole syringe.

It is the highest-risk area on the face for filler, which is why it should only be done by an experienced injector. The dorsal and lateral nasal arteries connect to the ophthalmic artery, so product placed incorrectly can cause skin necrosis or, rarely, vision loss. We inject in the deep supraperiosteal plane with a slow, low-pressure technique, and hyaluronidase is stocked on site at every clinic.

Generally 12–18 months — longer than lips, because the nose barely moves. Repeat treatments often last longer still.

No. Filler adds volume; it can smooth a dorsal hump, lift a drooping tip and straighten an asymmetric profile so the nose reads as slimmer and straighter, but it cannot reduce actual size or narrow the nostrils. If reduction is your goal, you need a surgeon and we will tell you so.

No — filler adds volume, it can't remove tissue. What it can do is smooth a bump, straighten the profile, or lift the tip, which often makes the nose appear more refined even though it's technically slightly larger.

When performed by an experienced injector with appropriate technique, yes. The nose has high-risk anatomy, which is why we limit this treatment to our most experienced team. Risks are rare but real — your injector will discuss them at consultation.

Typically 12–18 months. The nose is low-movement, so the product breaks down slowly.

Yes. The hyaluronic acid filler we use can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if you don't like the result.

Pricing is posted on our Treatments page. Most patients use less than a full syringe per session.

It depends on your goals. Filler is great for refining profile or smoothing small irregularities. If you want a significantly smaller, narrower, or structurally different nose, surgical rhinoplasty is the right option. We'll give you an honest assessment.
