  • What It Is: Kybella is a non-surgical injectable treatment that contains deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.

How It Works: When injected into the fat beneath the chin (submental fat), Kybella destroys fat cells, which are then naturally eliminated by the body’s metabolic processes. This results in a noticeable reduction of fat in the treated area, improving the contour and appearance of the jawline.

Results: Multiple treatment sessions (typically 2-4, spaced about a month apart) may be needed to achieve the desired results. Once the fat cells are destroyed, they do not return, providing long-lasting results.

Aftercare: Post-treatment, patients might experience swelling, bruising, or numbness in the treated area. It’s recommended to avoid strenuous activities for a few days and follow any specific aftercare instructions from the provider.

Radiesse: Radiesse provides immediate volume and lift to the skin, while also stimulating collagen production for long-lasting results. It’s ideal for enhancing facial contours and reducing moderate to severe wrinkles.

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma): PRP uses your own blood’s growth factors to rejuvenate the skin, promote healing, and stimulate collagen production. It’s effective for improving skin texture, tone, and overall radiance.

  • What It Is: Hylenex is a recombinant human hyaluronidase enzyme used to break down hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers. It is often used to correct or reverse undesirable results from HA filler treatments.

How It Works: When injected into the area where HA fillers have been placed, Hylenex quickly breaks down the HA gel, allowing it to be absorbed and eliminated by the body. This can effectively dissolve the filler, correcting overfilling, lumps, or other issues.

Results: The effects of Hylenex are typically noticeable within a few hours, with full results visible within 24-48 hours. Multiple treatments may be required for complete dissolution, depending on the amount of filler and the desired outcome.

Aftercare: After Hylenex injections, patients should avoid touching or massaging the treated area for at least 48 hours. Mild swelling or bruising may occur, but these effects usually resolve quickly.
