    The short answer

What Botox actually costs in New York City, why pricing varies so widely, and how to spot a fair quote.

    What to know

    1. 01Most NYC practices price Botox per unit, typically $12–$22 per unit in 2026
    2. 02A typical session uses 20–40 units, so most patients spend $250–$800 per visit
    3. 03Flat-rate 'per area' pricing is often more expensive than per-unit for equivalent doses
    4. 04Membership pricing at established practices can reduce per-unit cost by 15–25%
    5. 05The cheapest quotes are almost always underdosed — the treatment wears off faster

In New York City, Botox is typically priced per unit, and per-unit pricing generally runs between about $12 and $22 depending on the practice, injector experience, and neighborhood. Most first-time cosmetic patients use 20 to 40 units per session, which puts a typical NYC Botox session in the range of $250 to $800.

That is a wide range, and the reason is not what most patients assume. Price does not correlate perfectly with quality — but it does correlate with a handful of factors worth understanding before you book.

Here is a straightforward breakdown of what drives Botox pricing in NYC in 2026, and how to read a quote.

The short answer: what Botox typically costs in NYC

In New York City in 2026, expect the following ballpark ranges from an experienced, board-certified injector:

    • Per unit: $12–$22
    • Forehead + glabella (the "11s"): 20–30 units, roughly $240–$660
    • Crow's feet: 8–16 units, roughly $100–$350
    • Full upper-face treatment: 40–60 units, roughly $480–$1,300
    • Masseter Botox (jaw slimming / TMJ): 20–40 units per side, roughly $250–$900

The high end of these ranges typically reflects Upper East Side and Tribeca practices with physician injectors. The low end typically reflects volume practices or newer injectors.

Per unit vs. per area pricing

Two pricing models dominate in NYC:

Per unit. You pay a fixed price for each unit of Botox used. This is the most transparent model — you can verify what you received and compare quotes across practices.

Per area. You pay a flat fee to treat a specific area (e.g. "$275 for your forehead"). This is simpler to understand up front, but it only works honestly when the per-area price is tied to a defined unit cap — otherwise it can obscure whether you were actually dosed appropriately.

At Plump we price per unit: $16/unit · $75 off 50+ units · members 10% off · $375 minimum. You pay for the units you receive, so you are never underdosed to hit a flat quote.

Why the price range is so wide

Four things explain most of the variation:

Injector credentials. A board-certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist typically charges more than a nurse injector, who typically charges more than a newer aesthetic RN. Experience matters more than title, but title is what practices charge for.

Practice overhead. A Madison Avenue office with a marble lobby carries higher overhead than a Brooklyn medspa. That overhead lands on your quote.

Product cost stability. Botox wholesale pricing is relatively consistent nationally. When a practice offers Botox at $9–$10 per unit, they are either running a promotion, using a less-tested compounded alternative, or losing money on the session to acquire you as a patient.

Membership vs. non-member pricing. Most established NYC practices offer membership programs that reduce per-unit pricing by 15–25% in exchange for a monthly fee or annual commitment. For anyone getting Botox 2+ times per year, membership pricing usually beats à la carte.

What a fair NYC quote looks like

A fair, transparent Botox quote in NYC includes:

    1. A clear per-unit rate, published or stated up-front
    2. A recommended unit count based on your anatomy and goals, discussed at consultation
    3. A total estimate before you commit
    4. Any membership pricing disclosed if applicable
    5. A clear follow-up policy (usually a 2-week check), including what any touch-up units cost

If any of those are missing, ask. Reputable NYC practices expect the question.

Why the cheapest quote usually costs more long-term

The most common mistake we see: patients chase the lowest per-unit price, get underdosed to hit a target price point, and end up seeing results wear off in 8–10 weeks instead of 3–4 months.

If a $10-per-unit practice gives you 15 units when you needed 25, you paid $150 for a treatment that will not last. A $17-per-unit practice giving you the appropriate 25 units costs $425 but lasts three times longer. The per-treatment math often favors the higher unit rate.

This is why we dose to clinical effect, not to a price point. It costs slightly more per session and dramatically less per year of results.

    How Plump prices Botox

At Plump, Botox and Dysport are $16/unit · $75 off 50+ units · members 10% off · $375 minimum, posted openly on our Treatments page, so you get the dose your anatomy calls for without paying for units you did not receive.

We offer every FDA-approved neuromodulator available in the U.S. — Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau, Letybo, and Daxxify — so your injector matches the product to your anatomy, onset preference, and longevity goals rather than defaulting to one brand.

For patients treating regularly, our VIP membership builds member pricing into a monthly plan and includes a monthly credit that typically covers a full upper-face session. Concrete examples from our current rates: a typical full upper face (52 units) is $757 non-member / $681 for members. Masseter Botox at 40 units runs $640 non-member / $576 for members.

If you want a specific quote for your face and goals, book a consult. It is complimentary and you leave with a written treatment plan and total — no pressure to proceed the same day.
