The short answer
Sculptra at Plump Upper East Side is poly-L-lactic acid that stimulates your own collagen over three to six months rather than adding immediate volume. Treatment is usually two to three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, and results typically last two years or longer.
Our Uptown studio is on East 60th Street between Second and Third, at the edge of the Upper East Side and Midtown East. It's the most convenient Plump for anyone commuting from Midtown, Sutton Place, Lenox Hill, or Roosevelt Island.
Sculptra is a biostimulator, not a filler. Instead of sitting in the tissue to create volume, it triggers your body to build collagen gradually — so the result looks and behaves like your own tissue, because it is. Plump Upper East Side uses it for diffuse facial volume loss, temple and cheek support, and skin quality.
Plan on a series: two to three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, with results developing over three to six months. This is not the treatment to book two weeks before an event — it is the treatment to start if you want a change that holds for two years or more.
Sculptra is not reversible the way hyaluronic acid filler is, which is why we plan conservatively, dose across sessions, and only recommend it for patients whose anatomy suits it. If you want something immediate and adjustable, we will point you to filler instead.
Uptown sees the highest share of clients who come in knowing exactly what they want — repeat tox and filler patients, often on a standing schedule.
About Sculptra
Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid, a biostimulator that triggers your body to produce its own collagen over a series of months. Unlike hyaluronic acid filler, Sculptra doesn't add immediate volume — instead it rebuilds the underlying support structure of the skin gradually, producing results that look and feel like your own tissue because they are.
At Plump we use Sculptra for facial volume restoration in patients with diffuse volume loss, for skin quality improvements in areas like the cheeks and temples, and for body indications like the buttocks (sometimes called a non-surgical BBL). Treatment is usually a series of 2–3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
Results develop over 3–6 months and typically last 2 years or longer, making Sculptra one of the longest-lasting cosmetic injectables available. It's not reversible like HA filler, which is why we plan carefully and dose conservatively.
Good for
- Adults with diffuse facial volume loss
- Patients seeking longer-lasting results than HA filler
- People wanting collagen stimulation rather than added product
- Patients considering non-surgical body contouring (e.g., buttocks)
Not ideal if
- Pregnant or breastfeeding patients
- Patients wanting immediate, reversible results (consider HA filler)
- History of keloid scarring or autoimmune disease — discuss at consultation
- Active skin infection at the treatment site
